Employees of the Bell County Forestry Camp (BCFC) recently hosted a retirement luncheon to celebrate the retirement of two of its employees. Katie Mason and Bryan Bowling have retired after years of dedicated service to the Department of Corrections. Mason started working at BCFC in October 1999 as the food service coordinator. She ended her career as the administrative assistant to the warden. Bowling began his career in September 1999 as the procedures officer at BCFC. Two years later he took on the additional duty of training officer and ACA accreditation manager. Since then he has served in numerous positions in programs and operations at the facility. He is ending his career as the education specialist, in which he supervises the institution’s academic programs.
