Lone Jack School Center’s preschool and kindergarten classes kicked off Read Across America Week early by taking a field trip to Southeast Community College’s bookstore for a Dr. Seuss celebration. The preschool and kindergarten classes of Lone Jack School Center pose enjoy meeting the Dr. Seuss characters.

Wayne Mason, Bell County School Board member and owner/operator of Pine Mountain Photography calls on students from the audience to read Green Eggs and Ham. Eric Layne, second grade, reads a page from the book.

Payton Elliott (third grade), Kayla Bowling (third), Jessica Girdner (third), Jacob Jordan (third), Aiden Saylor (second), Tayler Mills (first) and Cooper Epley (first) win prizes for dressing as their favorite book characters and entering artwork into the Seuss-tastic Art Gallery.
