At Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College (SKCTC), wellness is more than just a New Year’s resolution. As of Jan. 29, Mountain Comprehensive Health Corporation (MCHC) has opened a new clinic on the Middlesboro campus.

According to Dr. Rebecca Parrott, Middlesboro’s campus director, the partnership between the college and MCHC is a natural fit. “Our number one focus is student success,” says Parrott, “and what better way to ensure that success than to make health care more convenient?”

CEO L. M. (Mike) Caudill agrees, “We at MCHC are very excited to celebrate the innovativeness of SKCTC and look forward to a successful partnership, not only as it relates to this clinic, but to future projects that will provide educational, occupational, and health service opportunities in our southeastern Kentucky region and beyond.”

“The strength of our college lies in our partnerships,” says Dr. Parrott, “and the clinic on our campus is the first such partnership within the KCTC System. We are excited about this new relationship.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the clinic’s opening will be held at the facility on Feb. 23 at noon. All are welcome to attend.
