Jabari Kyle hits an incredible shot during Middlesboro’s game against Claiborne, Tennessee on Monday. The sophomore guard finished with eight points while shooting 67 percent from the field.
Middlesboro bounced back from consecutive district losses with a road victory over Claiborne, Tennessee on Monday. The Yellow Jackets led after each quarter en route to a 59-51 win over the Bulldogs.
The victory inches Middlesboro closer to a .500 record with only five games remaining in the regular season.
Christian Hubbard paced the Jackets offensively going perfect from the field on his way to a game-high 18 points. He also went 2-for-2 from the charity stripe.
Jabari Kyle, TJ Patterson and Mykel Griffin each finished with eight points on the night with Griffin also ending the game with a team-high seven rebounds. Steven Poore also finished perfect from the field as he chipped in seven points.
For Claiborne, Blaine Caylor led the way hitting four 3-pointers off the bench for a team-high 12 points. Hunter Rosenbalm ended the night with 11 points, and Kade Beeler added 10 points to the final tally.
