Middlesboro citizen Lilah Russel, 7, daughter of Justin Russel and Megan Hopper, had her birthday party last weekend. In a unique and heart-warming turn of events, she told her friends and family not to buy her anything for her birthday but instead to bring a donation for Vets Serving Vets. Everyone obliged Russel’s wish, and she was able to raise $165 which she recently presented to the organization.

Vets Serving Vets announced that because of the support received from the community they were able to provide $38,390.49 to assist veterans with various needs during 2017. They wish to thank all who have supported the mission of Vets Serving Vets.
