Middlesboro continued to roll on Thursday at the Chain Rock Classic. One day removed from eking out a victory over Buckhorn, the Lady Jackets put together a complete game from start to finish while earning a 56-42 victory over Lee, Virginia.

It was Middlesboro’s second highest scoring game of the season and first 50-plus game since going into overtime against Knox Central on Dec. 15. One of the reasons for that was Hannah Warren.

The senior forward put together a game that the Lady Jackets had been waiting for since she went down with an injury during the same event last year. She tallied a season-high 19 points while shooting 60 percent from the field. She nailed six 3-pointers during the game.

Baylee Woody was not far behind Warren as she tallied 14 points while shooting the ball at an 83.3 percent clip. Guard Jamayha Poe lead the team in rebounds with three.

Alexis Tabor paced the Lady Generals offensively with 19 points while connecting on five 3-pointers. Arielle Tritt tallied 15 points on the night. Sheridan Herron was the only other player for Lee High to score multiple baskets from the field.
