Pine Mountain State Resort Park is inviting everyone down to “glow” in the New Year, during the park’s first ever Glow Party.

Complete with live entertainment from well known local DJ John Day, a multitude of glow sticks available and all of the essential New Year’s snacks sold at concessions, the party is sure to be a fun way to conclude the year.

Admission at the door is $15, but packages were also offered for anyone wishing to stay overnight, thus obtaining the full Pine Mountain State Park experience before the year comes to an end. While the lodge is now sold out for the weekend, door tickets are unlimited.

Everyone is encouraged to come out, grab a glow stick and a slice of pizza and rock in the New Year with John Day and Pine Mountain State Resort Park.

The park plans to continue this each year, in hopes of creating a staple for citizens and visitors to enjoy every New Year. The party will begin at 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and continue into the first hour of 2018.

“I think it’s going to be very busy and enjoyable for all who attend. Many of our events have acquired people who come back year after year to participate, and I expect this will be no different,” said Park Naturalist Keith Bowling.
