After a tough loss to Cumberland Gap on Dec. 12, Pineville picked up the pieces and hosted Red Bird on Friday. In a nice rebound match-up, the Lady Lions routed the Lady Cardinals 65-40.
The victory extends Pineville’s record to 6-1 and gives the team it’s fourth region victory of the year. While the Lady Lions are no longer undefeated, they still hold a 4-0 mark in the 13th Region — along with Harlan County, Clay County and Knox Central.
On Friday, four Pineville players found themselves in double-digits. Jill Enix shot 46.7 percent from the field on her way to a team-high 15 points. She was one rebound shy of a double-double tallying nine boards.
