The Tri-State Basketball League is getting ready to start for the season. The league — directed by the Middlesboro boys basketball team — will hold their final registration date on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Middlesboro High School gym lobby.

The cost to participate in the league is $50 per child. Each participant will receive a tri-state basketball t-shirt, reversible jersey and participation certificate.

The levels of play are:

• JV boys — 7 to 9-year-olds;

• JV girls — 7 to 9-year-olds;

• Varsity boys — 10 to 12-year olds;

• Varsity girls — 10 to 12-year olds.
