LMU-DCOM to host free mobile food pantry Saturday

HARROGATE, Tenn. — The Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM), in conjunction with the LMU-DCOM Community Wellness Program, will host a Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry and Wellness Fair on Dec. 2 in the Mary Mars Gymnasium on the LMU main campus in Harrogate, Tennessee.

The Mobile Food Pantry will be available from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., or until the food runs out. Families will sign-in and food will be distributed based on household size.

LMU-DCOM students will be on site to do height, weight and blood pressure screenings. There will be coloring activities for children. A

mong the community organizations that will be present are the LMU-DCOM Community Wellness Program, Cherokee Health Systems, CEASE Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Inc., Claiborne County Library and the Claiborne County Health Department.

The Cumberland Gap Volunteer Fire Department will also be on-site to talk about fire safety.
