Couple charged at Walmart

Two individuals were arrested at the Middlesboro Walmart on Nov. 26 on various charges by the Middlesboro Police Department.

According to the police citation, Timothy Lamb, 51, of Middlesboro was arrested for knowingly entering or remaining unlawfully in a building or premises after being previously charged/caught shoplifting and banned.

The citation also stated that Lamb had a small, clear plastic baggie containing a clear crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine as well as three counterfeit $100 bills and three $50 bills all located within his pants pocket.

The police stated that Kimberly Goins, 30, of Tazewell, Tennessee was reported as possibly being with Lamb at the time. MPD Officer Edward Dray approached Goins and asked if she would mind talking to him. She consented. Dray then asked Goins to search her, to which she also consented. Goins had a small container holding what was believed to be methamphetamine and $1,090.

Lamb was arrested on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree criminal possession of forged instrument, second-degree trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia and was served five bench warrants.

Goins was arrested on a charge of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

In other police news:

• Tonya Smith, 39, of Pineville was arrested on Nov. 26 by MPD Officer Michael Smith on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and was served two bench warrants;

• Tracy Martin, 41, of Middlesboro was arrested on Nov. 26 by MPD Sgt. Barry Cowan on charges of theft by unlawful taking of $500 or more but under $10,000 and third-degree criminal trespassing;

•Lucinda Gordon, 40, of Detroit, Michigan was arrested on Nov. 22 by Cowan on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and was served a bench warrant;

• Michael Caffey, 42, of Middlesboro was arrested on Nov. 22 by MPD Lt. Tom Busic on charges of first-degree robbery and was served a bench warrant.
