The Bell County Cooperative Extension Service SNAP-Ed Program teamed up with the Mount Moriah Baptist Church to educate their ladies group on the importance of a heathier lifestyle by making healthier choices when selecting meals and snacks. Not only were these ladies educated on eating better on a budget and serving sizes of each food group, but also on the importance of food safety in the grocery store and at home. Participants enjoyed receiving free utensils to use in the kitchen along with research based publications from our Healthy Choices for Every Body Curriculum. Each participant that completed the seven lesson course received a certificate of accomplishment.
