Police: Man shoots at wife

The Middlesboro Police Department arrested a man on the evening on Nov. 7 for allegedly firing a gun at his wife.

According to the citation, MPD Officer Kenny Vanover arrested Stephen Taylor, 37, of Middlesboro for shooting a 9 mm Taurus pistol towards the direction of his wife wantonly engaging in conduct which creates a substantial danger of death or serious physical inury.

Taylor was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center on a charge of on a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment.

In other police news:

• Virgil Brock, 33, of Pineville was arrested on Nov. 7 by Kentucky State Police on charges of first-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking of an automobile $500 or more but under $10,000, failure to notify department of transportation on change of address and failure to appear;

• Paul Graves, 48, of Stoney Fork, was arrested on Nov. 6 by KSP on a charge of theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but under $10,000;

• Angela Buchanan, 49, of Middlesboro was arrested on Nov. 4 by MPD Officer Edward Dray on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia;

• Danny Wilson, 49, of Pineville was arrested on Nov. 6 by Pineville Police Department Officer Justin Taylor on a charge of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument;

• Delores Webb, 50, of Middlesboro was arrested on Nov. 4 by Dray on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and was served a bench warrant;

• Christopher Powers, 33, of Corbin, was arrested on Nov. 3 by the KSP on charges of first-degree terroristic threatening and harassing communications;

• Charles Bussell, 38, of Pineville was arrested on Nov. 3 by the MPD Officer Jeremiah Johnson on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence;

• Robert Coffey, 34, of Middlesboro was arrested on Nov. 3 by the MPD on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication and was served a bench warrant.
