MARH to host women’s health luncheon

Middlesboro ARH Hospital will host its women’s health series, Lunch & Learn, on Oct. 19. The luncheon offers insight and tips on a variety of women’s health issues.

On Thursday, Oncologist Mohamed Shanshal, MD, will give a presentation on “Prevention and Treatment of Breast Cancer.”

Dr. Shanshal completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He completed his residency at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. Dr. Shanshal is board certified in internal medicine, and specializes in cancer and blood disorder treatment. He has an extensive background in managing highly complex cancer cases, and offers personalized treatment options with the focus on compassionate care while on a path to wellness.

Adult women of all ages are invited to the Lunch & Learn series. The lunch will be held in the hospital classroom, located near the MRI entrance at the back of the hospital. Lunch will be served at noon with the program starting by 12:15 p.m. and ending at 12:45 p.m. Lunch is free and there will be an opportunity to win a door prize.
