The Bell County Sheriff’s Officer released an official statement regarding a vehicle wreck on the morning of Sept. 18.
At 9:06 a.m. Bell County Dispatch received a call of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on KY 66 in the Cary/Arjay area.
Responding to the scene was Bell County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jared Smith and Jake Perry along with the Bell County EMS, Bell County Rescue Squad and Bell County Volunteer Fire Department.
Smith determined that a white Toyota pickup with a male driver was coming around a blind curve and did not see a black Chevrolet with a female driver turning into a drive way.
The pickup impacted the Chevrolet in the rear of the vehicle causing damage to both.
Police said while the male driver was uninjured, the female was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated. She was then transported to Pineville Community Hospital via Bell EMS with unknown injuries.
